3 TD’s in 2 games? Not enough.

Now that we have that out of our systems let’s get it together. The Steelers beat themselves this week. That’s not meant to take anything away from Cutler and the Bears. Cutler thumbed his nose at Denver on Sunday. Ben and company did not have a good day. Ben threw to Santonio 14 times. He completed 5. That is unheard of. They have a much higher completion rate. The running game is still non existent. There was no real evidence that it was better than week one. I know I said in an earlier post that I was done lamenting the cut of Isaac Redman. But I couldn’t help wonder if he could have been helpful in those short yardage situations. I don’t care what Ron Cook says, Redman should be out there.

I am a Jeff Reed fan. I love the guy. That being said, he didn’t do himself any favors Sunday. Everyone’s aware of his contract woes. Missing two keep FG’s isn’t exactly driving home his value to management. To be fair, he’s coming off a foot injury and the footing was obviously not good at Soldier Field. It’s also easy to forget how many times this guy has come through in the pinch. He beat the Titans last week! Shake it off Jeff and get it together. And come on Steelers, get this guy signed. That’s an unnecessary pressure he doesn’t need.

It’s time to look ahead to Cincy.
