NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell has announced that Ben Roethlisberger will be suspended for 6 games with a possible reduction to 4 games with conditions. He will be forced to undergo a behavioral examination by a medical professional.
Meanwhile, there are rumors of Steelers trade talks. Possibly with Cleveland?

I’ve been a fan of the Steelers since ‘72. I remember the dramatic impact the draft of ‘74 had on the team. This fiasco was created by noone but Ben himself. He creates the problem then sits back and allows his notoriety to bail his butt out of it. Ben needs to realize the Steelers drafted awesome in the past and will do so long after he’s no longer with the team. He’s integral to the team but by no means irreplaceable. They suspended him for up to 6 weeks with no pay I don’t think that is appropiate the commish should have also made liable my beloved Steelers for not reeling this guy in by taking what Ben would have made and donating the 3.3 mil he would stand to lose for all 6 games to rape crisis clinics or womens shelters something to that nature. As it stands the team pays only 200 k and that goes to the NFL. Wake up Ben you’re a great athlete but you are not above reproach. Bradshaw was branded as slow,stupid what have you by what he did on the field I never held to that but Ben you sure seem to want Steeler Nation to think that of you and this time that tile may be just what is called for. Grow up be a man and pull your head out. Black and Gold forever with or without you Ben.
I agree Mel. Ben’s ego was obviously getting out of control and he just keeps acting dumb. However, I think the NFL requires that the Steelers pay Ben’s suspension salary to a Players’ Union Fund or something like that. the Steelers do not get to keep Ben’s salary for the suspension games. (I think)
As a steeler fan I’m very disappointed in big Ben and Holmes. we have never had such behavior out of our players that I can remember. yes we traded Holmes; but we need not trade Ben his suspension is punishment enough. But Ben You have let down the steeler nation we all hate the way you have acted, very self-centered thinking of only you and what you want and not about the team and the steeler nation. I hope you learn from all of this and become the leader that God Himself intended for you to be….And remember no one player is more imported than the team straighten up and fly right. I say this out of Love and not hate.. The LORD God Bless You..
