The DA in Georgia announced that there will not be criminal charges filed against Ben relating to the accusations of sexual assault. While he said there isn’t enough eveidence to support a ‘successful prosecution’, he certainly did nothing to make Ben sound any better. He continually used the term ‘victim’ in describing Ben’s accuser. He also mentioned that he cannot ‘prosecute morals’.
It was interesting that the accuser had recently asked that the DA not pursue criminal charges. If there isn’t a civil suit filed post haste I would be forced to wonder if a ‘settlement’ had already been paid.
Even though Ben has escaped criminal charges, he has proven that he just cannot make good life decisions. Exactly how should the League and / or the Rooney family deal with Ben?
